Samuel got his bike helmet a couple days before this hike and then wore it everywhere for the next week or so. . .
Mohican State Park
This is just the drive on the way to the park! It was incredibly green and simply amazing. Heavenly Father is so good to us.
Notice the helmet is still with us. This is the next weekend. He has also added a "lasso" and insists on bringing it along.
Finding little critters - a salamander & toad.
Can you see the natural staircase the roots from this tree make? Amazing!
You can hike down them into a little cavern that has a waterfall in it. I'm sorry my pictures do not accurately show how beautiful it was!
Mohican State Park is definitely one of the most beautiful places I have ever been! We loved it so much and I'm so glad we were able go before we left Ohio.
Also a note on Samuel's huge bruise on his forehead. Earlier that morning before we left, Pete and Samuel were packing up the car and Samuel discovered the tow cables in the trunk. He asked Pete to tie him up and hook it to the car so he could "pull" the car. (where does he even get these ideas?!?)
And. So. Pete. Did. Samuel ran at full speed.
It was just like a dog on a leash running - not realizing it's tied up.
Samuel fell flat on his face. He didn't even have time to put his hands up to break the fall.
Sheesh, Boys! Both of them.

POOR GUY!!! That reminds me of Chip LAUNCHING Quincy down an icy hill at 11 months- in a laundry basket. NICE!! It took all of 2 seconds for him to flip out of the basket and land on his face on the ice. WHAT WAS HE THINKING?!?! HAHA!
Where is the bicycle helmet when you need it? :0) I love that he had to wear it on all your adventures. Too cute!!
