Love is in the air

or at least it's in the window
I saw this fun craft idea on A Pina Colada (borrowed from Ms. Martha Stewart) and I foolishly thought "that looks easy enough, even I can do it." I think I just need to realize being crafty just isn't my thing.
~big sigh~

Anyway this was my attempt to make our little house a bit festive.
If you'd like a try, go here. Please don't judge me when you see what they were supposed to look like.

If you like Pina Coladas. . .

For fun ideas on fashion, cooking, decorating, crafts, kids, etc, go visit A Pina Colada.
It is run by my creative, fabulous cousin Alisa .
Oh ya and she also has great giveaways - who doesn't LOVE a giveaway?!

yum yum yummy

For Christmas my mom gave me "Pioneer Woman Cooks" cookbook. I love this cookbook - if you don't have it, go get it - now! Trust me. Saturday I made these AMAZING cinnamon rolls.

Of course I had a little helper.

Not to worry I didn't use this sifter, it was just his accessory

A couple of cooking notes: I'm not a coffee drinker (though some days I wish I were!) so for the frosting I added a bit more milk. Secondly I just couldn't bring myself to use all that butter on the filling of the rolls, I used about half and they were still delish. Just FYI

For No Reason At All. . .

Pete surprised me tonight with these flowers when he got home from work.

Or, maybe he did it because he can tell I'm about 2 seconds away from being committed
due to a certain 2yr old that lives around these parts.

Yep, that's the one.
Thank you PJ

Samuel. . .or Samson

I haven't had Samuel's haircut for probably 6months! I don't know why I love his long locks so, but I do. I love to run my fingers through his fine hair, I love the little curls he gets. But truthfully it doesn't look that great. Pete told me the other day he was a little embarrassed. . .so I broke down and got it cut. He looks so old now - but still adorable.

Samuel loves to flex his muscles and show us how strong he is.
I just hope I didn't curse him by cutting his beautiful hair off :)

Happy 2010

Eating leftover muddy buddies and watching cartoons New Year's Day.
Does it get better than this for a 2yr old?

And we watched the snow fall all day from our warm little house. . .perfect.

December

Here are a few pictures from our fun December. That month seriously flew by - the good times always do. Pete is on an amazing rotation right now and for the last 2 weeks had an extremely light schedule. So we slept in a little, went to breakfast a few times, played in the snow, and just laid low. Truly the best 2 weeks of residency.

Merry Christmas

"Santa's Workshop"
Samuel "helped" the elf make a fire truck.
Then Pete supervised the painting - love the tight shirt!
