I'm a bit behind with blogging, house cleaning, ironing, laundry, CHRISTMAS. . .most everything in my life.
I've been working for the Christmas season at Nordstrom and I'm exhausted. I'm a wimp, this I already know. I'm only working part time evenings and weekends, but it is wearing me down. I have NO idea how mom's work full-time OR how single mom's manage life. I have a new found respect for all working moms!!
So this is my lame attempt to catch up on my blog. I'll try to post more through out the week, please take note I said try :)
Where to begin. . . .?
-THANKSGIVING-
We had Thanksgiving at our house this year. In keeping with our Cleveland tradition we had Pete's cousin, Emily, and her hubby, Sam, over along with our dear upstairs neighbors, Anne, Dubert, and adorable baby Jacob. Pete was still working nights at this time so right after dinner he snuck off to bed to get some sleep before work. Can I tell you how HAPPY I am that his night rotation is OVER. FOREVER.
I. AM. HAPPY.
MY BOY
I sure love my little Samuel, but let me tell you there are days, many days, when I wonder if I'm fit to be a mother of a 2yr old. If there is a secret handbook out there on handling this stage, could someone please clue me in?! I need help.
You know when your not in the same room as your toddler and that little voice in your head says "he's been quiet for awhile, you should go check on him"
Quiet 2yr old = TROUBLE
But I just keep making dinner thinking oh it's fine. WHY do I ignore that voice?
Then Samuel yells to me "mommy come see what I did!" uh-oh

He did a little dance in all the tissues and then laid down pretending to sleep on the pile.
How can I get upset at that?
Keep perspective Lori - it's only tissue.
even if I splurged on the puffs plus with lotion - it's just tissue
The remaining pictures are just random shots of Samuel keeping busy.
Painting with Daddy
Gingerbread train with Me
Looks just the picture on the box - don't you think?
Serenading me, wearing his "microphone" holster, while drinking juice.
normal things like that

Great post Lori.
Since I too have a two year old, I hear your pain! It does get better though-thats what I keep telling myself anyways.
