Target Saves the Day

So I really don't hide the fact that I'm not a big fan of Cleveland (I'll spare you the details of why - at least for now). Today was a typical GRAY, COLD, LONELY winter day here. I had to drive to the West Side of Cleveland, something East Siders rarely do. West Siders don't venture over here much either, I think because the freeway systems are so bad and it is inconvenient to get anywhere (ok so there is one of the reasons I'm not a big fan, anyway . . .) So I had to go over to the West Side to pick up supplies for Enrichment. I'm not even sure what the suburb is called where I was, but it was SUCH a depressed area! There were old, abandoned warehouses everywhere, unkept or closed stores, I actually saw a sign on a cafe that said CLOSED FOREVER(ok promise last of the negative details). It was just seemed as though my dislikes for Cleveland were being MAGNIFIED. I happened to notice a Target and decided to stop in and pick up a few things I've been needing.
Attention my CLEVELAND FRIENDS this Target was AMAZING. Okay true it was a good 1/2 hour away, but the drive was so worth it!! It was New, Clean, Organized, Shelves Fully Stocked, AND 2 - yes 2 - employees asked me if I was finding everything okay!! It was a little bit of fabulous! Don't get me wrong, I'll still be loyal to my local Target (a short 10 min walk from my house) but when Cleveland's getting me down, I think I may have found a cure. I could have stayed in that store for hours, Samuel unfortunately did not feel the same. So being the great mom I am, I started grabbing treats of the shelves and stuffing him to keep him occupied. All good things must come to an end, but the high has stayed with me all day. And I can't wait to go back - maybe for girls night out!?
Phew that was a long post, but I had to share the good news, after all this is my journal and I want to remember good things about Cleveland. :)
Some of the treats that held my little guy over.

New snow pants, mittens, and check out that red scarf!

target is so the answer to cold lonely days! I TOTALLY know what you mean about it being worth the drive...there is a NEW amazing heavenly target in Towne and Country a little past the temple, but now that the 4O is closed it is literally next to impossible for this downtown girl to make it there, like seriously 45 minutes....but don't think I will not pack it up and drive there any old cold lonely day!!! I will and I do!

Love the scarf! It looks great on you. Glad you very able to find a little heaven during such a cold, grey yucky Cleveland week.

Isn't that funny how something so simple can make our day?! Target is such a weakness for me too. I spend SO much time going to every end cap and seeing what I can find for a deal. Then when I check out I am floored to see I drop 100 bucks! Also they are happy to see me leave the store because Braden has left his mark and littered the store with toys, bikes, treats, you name it and is screaming as I am dumping it all out at the checkstand for the checker to put back, not buy! He even threw up there once so I had to take a break so they could forget us for awhile!:)

I was wondering if there was a good Target here! I'm glad you found it. I really don't care for Cleveland either. At all.
