A few months ago Pete announced to me he was invited to present some of his research at a conference in Florida. All I heard was Florida. I started jumping up and down and announced to him that we would be joining him. I didn't even give him a chance to invite us - though of course he would have. i think :) ya he would've.
So while Pete was giving his big presentation to a small group of 1200 (go PJ!) , Samuel and I played in the pool and at the beach. It was oh so wonderful! On Saturday Pete joined us and we drove a short drive down to Miami.

Samuel didn't like sand in his pants so he tried to take his swim shorts off.
I finally convinced him to keep them on.

Pete is an expert at catching fast lizards, much to Samuel's delight.
Florida was sunny, warm, beautiful, sunny, perfect, sunny and I want to get a time share there!
It has rained in Cleveland everyday since we've been back. Did I mention Florida was sunny? sigh.

Okay, now I have a deep and abiding desire to go to Florida. When looking at your pictures, I thought, "Does that place really exist???" (Clearly, I haven't been to the beach in awhile.) Glad you had a great time!
Wow!! So glad you had a fun time!! and we were able to get together.. you have some great pic's . sorry about samuel getting sick...poor thing, I'm sure Florida made everything better!! i have only been there once and was great.. would love to go back!!
